Hello friends!

Sometimes a photo from long ago will pop up and grab my attention. These wonderful ladies from one of my college-years black and white photographs, finally excited me to paint them. I decided to 'paint' them in pastels. I love to draw and pastels felt like the correct medium for this project. I had to creatively 'colorize' these special women and it was a fun challenge. They did win an award for me in a Connecticut Pastel Society show. Recently, they were part of the 'Nostalgia" Show at the Lyme Art Association. I was happy to see that they chose to use the ladies in an email blast. I really enjoy them being around!
