New paintings from above the clouds!

Two of my small oils, 6x8" on brushed gold/silver aluminum were selected for the Lyme Art Association's "Expanding Visions" exhibit. I have now done an 18x24" oil on linen and 3 oils on aluminum as a small continuing series of works which are coming from my love of photographing while in airplanes above the clouds.

My new 6x8" called "Brilliance" is in this show as well as my little (romantic?) 6x8" of a couple of people walking on the beach at sunset named "Time for Two".

The always beautiful Hudson Valley Art Assoc. 89th Annual Nat'l Exhibtion will also be showing at LAA simultaneously. My painting was not selected this year. This is a very competitive show (aren't they all?) and you should get here to see both of these gorgeous exhibits.

Their Opening Reception is Saturday, April 23, 5-7 pm. I plan on being there. Hope to see you there!

Powerful Beauty is now entered into Bold Brush contest

Do you love the waves and power of water? We had he bumpiest ride by a larger 9-person jeep out to the ocean side of Aruba when we were there for a week. It was gorgeous to watch! The color of their water is beautiful alone. I enjoyed taken many photographs while on that trip. What a gorgeous day too!

I painted this one as a 12x12" the first time, then went on to do the 30x30". You will notice that , on the second larger version, I added a bit of the sand showing at the bottom right. I think it works great for the compostion.

Let's see who enjoys these powerful waves with me! You can go to the Boldbrush website and vote for mine if you like.

Thank you for your time!

Yours in art,

Linda
